About the pool

[water temp: COLD, 68° as of 10/14/24 -- too cold for me to swim. We're staying open a little longer because it's still a nice place to enjoy a quiet lunch, read a book, and enjoy the sunshine.]

This is a great place to sunbathe, picnic, and enjoy a quiet afternoon. Or just sip a coffee and read a book. (Quieter than a coffee shop.) Have a couple friends over for an evening BBQ. Our wonderful pool has direct access to the driveway and a bathroom. Very convenient, quick, and easy access. Although we aren't ADA compliant, there are no steps at all from the driveway to the pool deck and only 3 wide steps from the pool deck up into the bathroom.

Additional rules

No cake or other food inside the porch. No glass. No chewing gum. Be respectful of my neighbors and quiet neighborhood by keeping noise low. The yard is pet-friendly, but the pool isn't. It's just so hard to clean dog hair out of a pool. I know that some dogs can't resist jumping into a body of water. It happens. Just lift her out and all is well.

There are no steps or slopes from the driveway to the pool. They are connected. There are 3 wide and relatively low steps to the bathroom. The bathroom does not have hand rails though.
